Crystal Lore & Uses Lesson #6

By Jessica B. - Hello Brothers and Sisters! This weeks lesson is on a beautiful stone called Amzonite, also called the Amazon stone. I will be using a mix of information from general knowledge, The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall and Llewellyn's Complete Book of Correspondences by Sandra Kynes. This beautiful green/blue stone is easily obtained and found in multiple countries such as the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Russia, Austria, Namibia, India and Mozambique. The best ways to position amazonite when using is to add it to a crystal grid or hold during ritual, apply, hold or wear the stone against the area of the body that needs it's healing attributes, or keep it by something that needs blocking due to electromagnetic energies; such as computers, cell phones or microwaves (Hall, pgs 49-50 and Kynes, pg 216).

Amazonite is known to correspond to various chakras; such as throat, heart and sacral. It is a calming stone allowing for ease and flow of communication, it soothes emotions taking stress from the brain and nervous system, restrains anxiety bringing about clarity, grounding, hope, improvement, intuition, love and luck. Balance is achieved in the masculine and feminine, as well as personality, providing energy, fertility, growth, honor, love, luck and stability. Amazonite helps us to find and maintain the unity as well as leadership qualities many of us are looking to obtain. It supports us in doing the work necessary to bring forth these aspects we have hidden within ourselves. Once that knowledge is brought to the surface, it will help banish fear, anxiety and worry. By dispelling negative, unwanted energy and emotions we are then free to see and feel situations with clarity, focus and truth, and then we are able to see both sides to an issue or acknowledge other view points. (Hall, pg 50 and Kynes, pg 216)

This beautiful crystal helps open the sacral chakra and leads to better relationships, fertility, unity, honor, growth and trust between ourself and others. Our throat chakra becomes clear for better communication and when coupled with the heart chakra it boosts loving communication. Amazonite brings about a sense of self-love, strength, hope and intuition, all which are necessary for a more pleasant journey. The ease in flow of communication can be carried over into maintaining the flow of life, instead of staying stagnant. Physically amazonite is beneficial to those suffering from calcium deficiency or the bone loss of osteoporosis as well as tooth decay. It is beleived to be able to help create balance metabolically to alleviate and even rectify symptoms. Also place the stone accordingly when having muscle spasms as those can also be caused by calcium not reaching those areas as needed (Hall, pg 50 and Kynes, pg 216). I will follow this up with the opinion that you should also be under the proper medical care of your doctor, no advice or information I provide should take the place of a trained medical provider. However, crystal work has been used for centuries so I practice a combination of old and new school medicine in conjunction with one another, balance again! Brightest Blessings!
